Interesting that two cultural illusions were exposed at the same time. The first being election denial. The second: Crypto.
Perhaps this recent foray into the realm of magical thinking on a large scale has run its course.
When the fear level exceeds the capacity of large numbers of people to rationally process it, unsubstantiated conclusions emerge. One recent example: Ivermectin.
One is hesitant to think we’re out of the woods. Things could go south if more shocks to the system show up. However, it appears that the most recent phase is leaking air.
We’re fallible human beings, as the famed therapist Albert Ellis would remind us. Good to keep that in mind.
